Ambient intelligence
Bower delivers ambient intelligence through smart glasses and other interfaces, capturing experiments, observations and decisions as they happen, automating research administration, and making an organisation’s collective expertise available to scientists in real time. Over time this creates a living understanding of how research is actually performed, so scientists and AI can build on everything the organisation has learned.
More effective science

Michelle
Co-Founder & CEO
Michelle leads Bower’s product and company vision. She joined from Microsoft, where she led AI Foundations for generative video, and has shipped zero-to-one products at Google and Dovetail. A melanoma diagnosis at 37 weeks pregnant set her on the path to accelerating scientific discovery, the most meaningful thing she has ever built.

Renaud
Co-Founder & Chief Science Officer
Renaud owns Bower’s scientific credibility. A professor of geochronology and geochemistry applied to human evolution, he has run research labs for more than twenty years and makes sure the product reflects how science actually happens, including its failures, ambiguities and constraints.

James
Co-Founder & COO / CRO
James is a builder who sells. He owns go-to-market and the operating foundation that lets Bower scale. He co-founded and led revenue at EQL, taking it from $0 to $3.5M ARR as Chief Revenue Officer, and held senior commercial roles at Google across product, sales and go-to-market.

David
Co-Founder & CTO
David architects the ambient capture and knowledge graph that make scientists superhuman without asking them to do anything. He was a senior engineering leader at Atlassian working on Teamwork Graph, one of the world’s largest enterprise knowledge graphs, and has built and scaled teams at Xero, Amadeus and a Y Combinator-backed startup.
